Electric utilities are here of particular interest because of their high importance for economy and society, as well as their significant impacts on the environment. The objective of the project is to analyse utilities’ strategies and organisation for CSR within the global context and if applicable to derive factors of success for global management of CSR and sustainability. The long-term objective is to develop a benchmark for CSR-strategies that utilities may use to compare their performance and receive new suggestions. In addition to a comprehensive review of each utility’s CSR-report and their external ratings we carry out interviews with experts, who have the greatest knowledge of their company’s CSR-activities.
